The story
The story follows Erik McAlister, a young Irish illusionist’s rise from poverty, as he tries to fulfil his childhood dream of becoming a circus performer in 20th century America. Along the way he encounters love, danger and a magical family legacy - all framed by the legacy of Nikola Tesla and the memory of Harry Houdini.
Visuals
The LED wall system is at the heart of the piece. The set backgrounds enchant the audience with their realistic look. The movement of the backdrops is coordinated with the music, so that the background changes during the songs.

Cultural connection
The story of the musical is about a pair of Irish brothers, so Irish culture informs the language and events of the play in many places. One of the main settings is an Irish pub in New York City, where the local Irish community unites against the Italian mafia. Camaraderie, honour and courage hold the community together and help Erik the Magician succeed.
The story also tells of a mystical chest that once belonged to King Balor. Through the musical, Irish folk music is introduced and the role of the Irish in the unfolding era of American culture is reinforced alongside other cultural values.
International cooperation
For international distribution, TBG Production has composed the English version of the show, which includes the translation of the songs and lyrics, and the complete English version of the musical script. We offer several possibilities for cooperation.
Original cast
We are aware of the complexities of adapting a new show, so we can offer the option to stage the musical by travelling with our own crew. This option includes us travelling with our whole cast, crew and equipment in a full-blown tour setup. We have our own truck and complete stage LED system, our own dance company and actors.
Co-production
Due to language barriers, in many cases the main characters and singing actors are being cast from local actors. By travelling with our dance troupe, we can undertake the presentation of the dance scenes of the show. By supporting the local actors with our delegated dance troupe, we can guarantee high quality dance scenes and save the theatre valuable rehearsal time. The setinstallations and LED wall system can also be transported as part of the collaboration. Within Europe, the set and costumes can be transported by truck.
Franchise partnership
We offer the opportunity to create an independent production and a localized version through the sale of franchise rights. Upon request, we will prepare the translated script in the target country's language and provide choral recording materials to support the production. We also allow for re-directing the show if there is a demand for it. When selling the rights to the production, we represent the authors during the negotiation process and facilitate a smooth and efficient licensing procedure.

English version
The premiere of the musical took place in Budapest, where we presented the performance in Hungarian. After the premiere, we prepared the lyrics in English with the help of New York lyricist Zach Spound and Fruzsina Hénics translated the lyrics into English. If you are interested in watching the full performance, we made an English version with voice-overs, where all the songs are sung and voiced by the actors seen in the original video. International success
It is our honour to announce that our Nikola Tesla – Infinite Energy Musical has been invited to the world’s biggest musical festival, the Daegu International Musical Festival in South Korea, to serve as the opening show of the festival, and to stage 10 shows during the festival in total. Our show captivated the Korean audience, receiving an all-time-high score from viewers in the history of the festival. For our achievement, we were officially awarded with the first prize of Best Musical on the 19th Daegu International Musical Festival. We are currently in negotiations with Asian theatres and productions regarding the touring of the show in the region.
